Hi guys, SolarFlare here, call me Solar for short. (Younger half) Today we will be making a delicious and fun summer treat! And yes, I know it's winter, but in my opinion the time is always right for cherry pie! So today, we will be putting a fun twist on things with cherry wonton wrappers! Hold on tight, because here we go!
First, you'll need some cherry pie filling. The canned stuff is always too sweet, so try and make your own. http://www.mybakingaddiction.com/homemade-cherry-pie-filling-recipe/ is a great recipe, I used it myself. Go check it out, drop a like or two, and enjoy.
Next, you'll have to make your wonton wrappers. Bake or fry them, but make sure you double or triple up to keep them sturdy. Now you're ready to put the whole thing together.
Take two or three wrappers, depending on their thickness, and lay them out on a sheet pan. Pour i your cherry filling until you reach the top of the main walls. I.e, only some spiky bits at the top shouldn't be touching the filling on the inside. If you want to serve them hot, they're ready to serve, but if they should be cold, refrigerate until at the correct temperature. Enjoy, friends! This is SolarFlare, signing out.
P.S.- Sorry if the blogs are sparse for a while, Science Fair is coming up for me, and Mom's been busy teaching, so we don't have much time to post. I'm only getting this up because it's been decided I don't do homework on Fridays. I should be doing more as school draws to a close. See you next time!
